A master storyteller, digital trailblazer, and creative visionary, Vinay’s journey spans over 25 years of transforming ideas into impactful narratives and designs.
From weaving captivating tales as a BBC journalist to crafting seamless digital experiences as a web editor and marketing specialist, Vinay has shaped the media and technology landscapes with passion and purpose.
Vinay Jalla’s latest cartoon, Trade Wars, offers a sharp and satirical take on the global economic turmoil triggered by Trump's tariff policies. The illustration presents tariffs as a double-edged sword, wielded recklessly, cutting both ways and harming not just the intended targets but also those imposing them.
Countries retaliate with reciprocal tariffs, creating a chaotic spiral of economic uncertainty and instability. The imagery captures the absurdity of protectionist policies that claim to strengthen economies but, in reality, disrupt global trade, strain relations, and leave businesses and consumers caught in the crossfire.
With bold lines and biting humour, Trade Wars reflects the unpredictability of modern geopolitics where no one truly wins, and economic volatility becomes the only certainty.
Thrilled to share that Vinay Jalla's photo series “A Spring Afternoon in Salford” has been selected by Open Eye Stories, an initiative by Liverpool’s Open Eye Gallery.
Captured on a rare sunny day at RHS Garden Bridgewater, this series is more than just floral portraits. It’s a quiet reflection on resilience, renewal, and the gentle rhythm of nature.
Over the past year, Vinay Jalla has been fortunate to share his work with a wide range of audiences, from vibrant gallery spaces in Milan to immersive virtual worlds and international cartoon festivals. Each exhibition has been a unique opportunity to connect with fellow creatives and showcase visual stories that reflect the times we live in.
These exhibitions reflect a growing commitment in his practice: using visual art whether through digital illustration, traditional painting, or political cartooning to tell stories that matter.
