Vinay Jalla’s latest cartoon, Trade Wars, offers a sharp and satirical take on the global economic turmoil triggered by Trump's tariff policies. The illustration presents tariffs as a double-edged sword, wielded recklessly, cutting both ways and harming not just the intended targets but also those imposing them.

Countries retaliate with reciprocal tariffs, creating a chaotic spiral of economic uncertainty and instability. The imagery captures the absurdity of protectionist policies that claim to strengthen economies but, in reality, disrupt global trade, strain relations, and leave businesses and consumers caught in the crossfire.

With bold lines and biting humour, Trade Wars reflects the unpredictability of modern geopolitics where no one truly wins, and economic volatility becomes the only certainty.
